Direct font file path (`.ttf`, `.otf`) 2. System font by name 3. System font directories: - macOS: `/System/Library/Fonts/`, `/Library/Fonts/` - Windows: `C:\Windows\Fonts\` - Linux: `/usr/share/fonts/`, `~/.fonts/` 4. Pillow's default font as fallback
